This month, we are discussing the core value of good stewardship. A steward is someone who manages another person’s property, finances, or affairs. When we say we are good stewards it means that we take personal responsibility and care for your investments – we take it seriously. At Chehalem Property Management, we take seriously the stewardship of your property, whether you are an owner of a home(s) or a tenant renting. From handling concerns about the house itself to collecting funds from tenants and sending them to an owner, we intend on doing our job as comprehensively and efficiently as possible. It also means considering the future, both in the long and short term.
With you, we encourage long-term rental due to the stability it brings. Our goal is to take care of maintenance and repair needs for your home in line with the wishes of the property owner so that you can feel comfortable where you live and want to stay. Customer service is something in which we continually try to improve in order to develop positive relationship for the duration of each person’s tenancy.
For example, we switched software systems earlier this year. One of the main reasons is that you can now pay online (free by eCheck or by debit/credit card). The portal also allows for you to submit repair and maintenance requests conveniently. Hopefully, you have had a chance to check out your tenant portal to take advantage of options which provide ease of use and interaction. You can access this by https://chehalem.appfolio.com/users/sign_in or by clicking on the link on the right handside.
These things are part of a whole system developed with you in mind. Part of stewardship is ongoing care and attention. At CPM, we believe our systems should reflect good stewardship. As always, feel free to contact me at shannon@cpmoregon.com with any thoughts or feedback to let us know how we are doing.
Now that you have read about what good stewardship means to CPM, we invite you to join us in thinking about stewardship this month.
